Teaming up with the Salvation Army of Lincoln
December 21, 2014 | 3:00 pm - O'Donnell Auditorium, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Rogers Center for Fine Arts
With One Step…Peace offers a time of respite, joy and Peace during the busy holiday season. In collaboration with the Salvation Army and the Peacemakers of Lincoln, we sing holiday favorites, invite you to join in the caroling, and hear wonderful music performed by the Lincoln Choral Artists and the newly formed Nebraska Academy for Vocal Arts. The children's Academy is under the direction of Judy Welch. The Plymouth Brass will accompany the Lincoln Choral Artists as they perform John Rutter’s "Gloria".
The Lincoln Choral Artists are assisting The Salvation Army in locating unused instruments for their instrumental students. The Shield Music Academy has recently been formed by the Salvation Army. There are many students who would like to participate but are in need of instruments. If you or someone you know has an instrument that you would like to donate to this project please contact Lincoln Choral Artists at 402-580-6669 or 402-261-9000. Your donation is tax deductible and we will issue you a receipt when we pick up the instrument. Keep the music playing, especially for those who want to learn!
